Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service and Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, and maintenance services for our products. The role requires a combination of strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and outstanding customer service.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install and commission our products at customer sites, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Respond to service requests from customers and provide on-site or remote support to resolve technical issues.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs or component replacements as needed.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer queries, provide product information, and offer technical guidance.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to enhance their understanding of product features and usage.
- Prepare accurate and detailed service reports, documenting work performed, findings, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to provide feedback on product performance, suggest improvements, and contribute to product development initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and product knowledge to ensure effective support and service delivery.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations during service visits and installations to ensure a safe working environment for both customers and colleagues.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Position:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer or Installation Engineer, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for installation and service assignments.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to them at all times.
Compensation:
CTC range- depending on qualifications and experience
